(known as \u2018self-isolating\u2019)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You do not need to do these things now.<\/p>\n<p>You should check the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/coronavirus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">latest public health advice on coronavirus<\/a> before you travel to UK, or if you\u2019ve just arrived in the UK.<\/p>\n<div class=\"application-notice help-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Warning\">\n<p>You may be fined \u00a3100 if you refuse to provide your contact details, \u00a31,000 if you refuse to self-isolate in England and Wales, or you could face further action once the rules come into place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>You should also download the NHS contact tracing app when its available shortly.<\/p>\n<p id=\"provide-your-journey-and-contact-details-when-you-travel-to-the-uk\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Provide your journey and contact details when you travel to the UK<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>From 8 June, if you\u2019re travelling to the UK you\u2019ll need to fill in an online form to provide your journey and contact details before you travel. This form will be available shortly on home office website.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you check the home office website before you travel.<\/p>\n<p>You might need to show that you\u2019ve completed the form when you arrive at the UK border.<\/p>\n<p>If you refuse to fill in the form, you may be fined or also may not be allowed to enter the UK (unless you\u2019re either British or a UK resident).<\/p>\n<p>The government will use this informations to contact you if you or someone you\u2019ve travelled with develops coronavirus symptoms, and to check that you\u2019re self-isolating for the first 14 days after you arrive in the UK.<\/p>\n<p id=\"if-you-develop-coronavirus-symptoms\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>If you develop coronavirus symptoms<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Do not travel if you have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/conditions\/coronavirus-covid-19\/check-if-you-have-coronavirus-symptoms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">coronavirus symptoms<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you develop coronavirus symptoms when you\u2019re travelling to the UK, tell the crew or driver on your plane, ferry, train or bus. They\u2019ll let staff in the airport, port or station know, so they can tell you what you should do next when you arrive.<\/p>\n<p id=\"self-isolate-for-your-first-14-days-in-the-uk\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Self-isolate for your first 14 days in the UK<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>When you arrive in the UK, go straight to the place where you will self-isolate. Your friends or family can collect you from the airport, port or station. Only use public transport if you have no other option. If you do use public transport, wear something that covers your nose and mouth and stay 2 metres apart from other people.<\/p>\n<p>You must not leave the place you\u2019re staying for the first 14 days.<\/p>\n<p>You can only leave if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you need urgent medical treatment<\/li>\n<li>you need support from social services<\/li>\n<li>you need food and medicine and cannot get them delivered or get a friend or family member to bring them<\/li>\n<li>you\u2019re going to the funeral of a close relative, or for other compassionate reasons<\/li>\n<li>there\u2019s an emergency, for example there\u2019s a fire at the place you\u2019re staying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You cannot have visitors, including friends and family, unless they are providing essential care.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re at home or staying with friends or family, avoid contact with the people you\u2019re staying with and minimise the time you spend in shared areas.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re staying in a hotel or guest house, you cannot use shared areas such as bars, restaurants, health clubs and sports facilities. Stay 2 metres away from all other guests and staff.<\/p>\n<p>If you will not be able to safely self-isolate at the place you\u2019re planning to stay, tell Border Force officers when you arrive in the UK. They\u2019ll give you a choice of accommodation to stay at.<\/p>\n<p id=\"after-14-days\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>After 14 days<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you do not have any coronavirus symptoms after 14 days, you can stop self-isolating. You will then need to follow the same rules as people who live in the UK.
